PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TrowelGrade B-400 – is a multi-purpose, one-component, high viscosity, environmentally friendly waterproofing sealant specially designed as a highly elastic sealing material to ensure waterproofing properties.
Waterproofing treatment work can be carried out both on horizontal and vertical planes. The material is waterproofing, chemically resistant, does not wear out or crack, it is resistant to biological degradation, alkalis, salts, a number of acids and ultraviolet for 15 years. After applying the sealant, a seamless rubber seal with good adhesion to any base is formed.
TrowelGrade B-400 has been created based on the bitumen emulsion and is a combination of elastomers and acrylic polymers with the addition of inert and binding fillers to obtain a high-strength, flexible and quick-drying seam. The material is water-based, solvent-free, non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
TrowelGrade B-400 is used as a sealant, as well as a filler for heat shrinkable and interpanel seams. It can be used to fill cracks, crevices, both on horizontal and vertical surfaces. The material is widely used in the construction of bridges and tunnels.
BASE PREPARATION
The base for TrowelGrade B-400 shall be clean, dry, free from substances that prevent adhesion (grease, dust, stains from gasoline and diesel fuel, etc.). Before the application of the sealant, the porous surface shall be primed with a primer from the range of «Liquid Rubber» materials or with any water-based deep penetrating primer.
PERFORMANCE OF WORK
BEFORE USE, THE GLUE SHALL BE MIXED WITH A CONSTRUCTION MIXER AT MEDIUM SPEEDS UNTIL YOU GET A HOMOGENEOUS MASS!!!
TrowelGrade B-400 is applied with a spatula, or with a construction syringe. After complete drying, a waterproofing, seamless elastic coating with enhanced performance is formed. After drying TrowelGrade B-400 sealant forms a flexible elastic membrane that can withstand loads and vibration without cracking or flaking.
The sealant has very good adhesion. TrowelGrade B-400 sealant is stable during the “freeze/de-freeze” cycle and does not lose its properties for 15 years.
CONSUMPTION
Material consumption depends on the thickness and depth of filling. At an ambient temperature of +25°C and 50% relative humidity, TrowelGrade B-400 fully dries within 24 hours. The drying time increases as temperature drops and humidity rises.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF WORK
Works should be carried out at air temperature from +5°C to
+ 30°C and relative air humidity no more than 80%.
The material is a medium alkaline substance. Wear protective clothing, goggles and gloves while working. Wash off fresh dirt with water. Cured material can be removed with white spirit solution. If the emulsion gets into the eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice. When using the material, please, follow the current regulations related to construction.
STORAGE
The material should be stored in undamaged tightly closed packaging in a dry place at a temperature no lower than +5°C. The shelf life is within 6 months from the date of manufacture indicated on the packaging.
Opened packaging of TrowelGrade B-400 glue must be used within 4 hours.
WARNING
Keep away from children. Protect from freezing! The sealant should not be applied at an ambient temperature below +5°C and if the rain is expected within 24 hours after the application. Do not apply the material onto wet or frozen surfaces.
Avoid contact of the material with any solvents. When applying this product, please, follow safety guidelines, wear gloves, goggles, and other appropriate protective equipment.
